First Week of Great Lent Plans

God willing we will stream live the Great Compline services of the first week of Great Lent beginning at 6:00 p.m. Monday (3/14), Tuesday (3/15), Wednesday (3/16), and Thursday (3/17). We also intend to post the services within 12 hours of their completion here on our Sound of the Parish blog. That is not a guarantee - that is a HOPE. :) Please pray for us that the Lord will bless this work. And please join us for the services of the first week as you are able. Sunday of the Last Judgment

Please find the sound files from the Sunday of the Last Judgment (also known as Meatfare Sunday, since this is the last day we partake of meat until our Lord's Glorious Resurrection, this year on May 1) from St. Vladimir's below. This coming Sunday is Forgiveness Sunday, also known as the Casting out of Adam. You can learn more about the importance of this Sunday at this link. Soul Saturday - March 5

The sound files for the first of the Soul Saturdays connected with Great Lent this year can be found below. The other Soul Saturdays are March 26, April 2, and April 9. To see to it that your departed friends and loved ones are commemorated at these special services please email info@stvladimiraami.org or visit our Commemorations Page. Be sure to delineate Orthodox vs. non-Orthodox folks. We pray for both, but in different manners and we want to make sure to do this according to the teaching of the Holy Church. His Eminence also gave the inaugural Great Lenten Lecture during the meal after the Divine Liturgy, and we are pleased to include that here as well. Sunday of the Publican & Pharisee

Please find below the sound files from the weekend of the Publican & Pharisee. Sadly something happened to the Vigil file. That is too bad - the choir that evening was really quite wonderful. Also, the sermon is a little quiet in the beginning. It gets better after four minutes or so. Safest plan? If you are able come to the Divine Services! :) Then if the sound equipment fails you will still get the full effect of the service! All are welcome here!
